The dive in Calafató takes place at a maximum depth of 12 meters over posidonia meadows and small natural rock reefs. Due to the characteristics of the water and its shallow depth, diving in Calafató allows you to enjoy spectacular plays of light and color that transmit a great feeling of peace and tranquility underwater.
The departure is from the beach of Cala Calafató, an idyllic corner that captivates visitors. On both sides of the cove we can find rock formations with small cavities that are not accessible. On our dive we will also find the Cova del Dofí, a small accessible cavity where many years ago a group of divers placed a small bronze statue of a dolphin of about 50 cm. Before reaching the cave, we’ll also discover a rock formation popularly known as El Faralló.
The Cala Calafató beach from which the dive starts is an isolated beach of golden sand about 100 meters long and an approximate width of 40 meters, internationally recognized for several years with the Blue Flag of the European Foundation for Environmental Education for the quality of its waters and respect for the natural environment.
